Meet the Founder Newfie on Wheelz was founded by Brett Hillier, whose family roots trace back to Newfoundland. Born and raised in Mississauga, Brett grew up embracing those timeless Newfoundland values of friendliness, reliability, and community spirit. Before launching his own business, Brett built a rock-solid career in demanding roles: 14 years as a reinforcing ironworker, honing skills in precision and safety under pressure; 3 years as a multi-unit general manager for Tim Hortons, mastering high-volume operations and customer service; and 4 years as general manager of the fuel and retail travel centers with Pilot Flying J, leading teams through fast-paced operations. Drawing expertise from high-profile management, Brett spotted a gap in Woodstock’s local delivery scene and created Newfie on Wheelz — a low-fee courier service with 0% commissions for businesses, handling everything from restaurant meals to parcels and Costco shop-and-deliver across Oxford County & Canada Wide/International Shipping.
